Privacy Policy
Effective September 29, 2026 · Last updated September 30, 2026
This policy explains what information Rideal Corp ("RIDEAL", "we", "us") collects, why, who we share it with and how long we keep it. It covers our website, rideal.dev, and RIDEAL Ops, the internal dashboard our two owners use to run the company.
The short version
- Our website has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies.
- If you fill in our questionnaire or email us, we use what you send only to reply and to work with you.
- We use Plaid to connect our own business bank account to our internal dashboard. We do not ask anyone else to link a bank account.
- We never sell or rent personal information.
1. Who we are
Rideal Corp is a Colorado corporation that designs, builds and maintains operations dashboards for small service businesses in the United States. We are the controller of the information described in this policy.
When we build a system for a client, the information inside that system belongs to the client and is governed by our agreement with them and by the client's own privacy policy. This policy does not cover those systems.
2. Information we collect
When you visit rideal.dev
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider receives the technical data every website receives, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The live demo at rideal.dev/demo uses made-up sample data.
When you fill in our questionnaire or contact us
The questionnaire asks for your name, your email address, your company and answers about how your business works today. When you submit it, it is sent to our company mailbox by email. It is not stored in a database. The same applies to emails you send us and to calls you book with us.
RIDEAL Ops and Plaid
RIDEAL Ops is our internal operations dashboard. Only the two owners of Rideal Corp can sign in to it. We use it to track our client projects, invoices, payments and expenses.
We use Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to connect our own business bank account to RIDEAL Ops, so we can reconcile the payments we receive and the expenses we pay against our records. Through Plaid we receive the account name, the last digits of the account number, the account's transactions (date, amount and description) and its balance. A transaction description can include the name of a client who paid us or a vendor we paid.
We do not use Plaid to collect data from our clients or website visitors, and we do not ask anyone else to link a bank account. Plaid's handling of the data is described in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.
3. How we use information
- To reply to you, prepare proposals and deliver the services you hire us for.
- To run the company: invoicing, collecting payments, paying vendors and keeping accounting records.
- To reconcile our bank transactions with our records in RIDEAL Ops.
- To keep our systems secure and to meet legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell or rent personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about anyone.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us operate, and only what each one needs:
| Provider | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosts our website and the RIDEAL Ops dashboard. |
| Oracle Cloud | Hosts the server and database where RIDEAL Ops stores its records. |
| Plaid | Connects our own business bank account to RIDEAL Ops. |
| Zoho | Our company email, which receives questionnaire submissions. |
| Lets our owners sign in to RIDEAL Ops with their Google accounts. | |
| Cal.com | Schedules the calls you book with us. |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.
5. How long we keep it
- Questionnaire submissions and emails: for as long as we are in contact with you or working together, and then for as long as needed for our business records. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
- Bank data received through Plaid: while our bank account is linked. If we unlink the account, we revoke Plaid's access and delete the access credentials and the raw data received from Plaid. Transactions we have recorded as payments or expenses stay in our accounting records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Backups: our database is backed up daily, and each of those backups is deleted automatically after 14 days. We also keep a separate off-site backup of our server for disaster recovery, which is retained longer and removed as part of our regular backup maintenance.
6. How we protect it
- All connections to our website, our dashboard and our servers are encrypted with TLS.
- Stored data is encrypted at rest, and the credentials that give access to our bank data are kept encrypted on our servers, never in the browser.
- Only the two company owners can access RIDEAL Ops, and only through an allowlist of their accounts.
- Passwords and secrets are kept in a password manager; our server accepts key-based access only and installs security updates automatically.
No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we will tell you as required by law.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to give you a copy or to delete it, by writing to the address below. We will answer within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for making a request. Depending on the state you live in, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them.
8. Children
Our website and services are for businesses. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell the clients we work with directly.
